Light Men Finish Sixth in Boston

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown men's and women's crew teams participated in the 41st Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday held on the Charles River in Boston, Mass.
Highlighting the weekend for Georgetown was the men's lightweight eight squad who clocked in at 15:42.528 for a sixth place finish, only 20 seconds behind first place Riverside Boat Club.
Georgetown posted one other top-ten finish as the women's lightweight eight boat crossed the line in eighth place with a time of 18:54.174. Also competing for the lightweight portion of the Hoya program was a men's four, who placed 11th.
In the championship eight races, both the men's and the women's teams placed in the middle of the pack. The men's crew came in 19th in the 42 boat race, while the women were 29th out of 47 schools.
The Georgetown men's and women's crew teams get back in the water next Sunday for the Princeton Chase, while the women's portion will also be at the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia, Pa.
